''We've also cut back hours at pools and interpretive centers,'' says John Baker, assistant director of finances for the state Department of Natural Resources. ''Campgrounds scattered around the state will be closed.'' Part of Indiana Dunes State Park, a beach on Lake Michigan that is popular with vacationers from nearby Chicago, has no lifeguards on weekdays.
