Fortunately, SI-TEX is changing all that with the introduction of a new autopilot drive unit engineered especially for mechanical, push-pull cable steering.

Rubatex Neoprene Designed to fit most cable systems, including Morse, Technofiex, Teleflex and Ultraflex, this new wheel pilot unit incorporates a drive motor, solenoid clutch and built-in rudder feedback for precise control of the wheel. It mounts (hardware included) discreetly behind the dash and accommodates both standard and tilt steering wheels.
